John Girdlestone 
John was born in 1709 in Baconsthorpe, Norfolk, England . John's father was John Girdlestone and his mother was Sarah Ford. His paternal grandparents were Richard Girdlestone (The Elder) and Palgrave Frith; his maternal grandparents were Charles Ford and Unknown. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Richard, Thomas, Joseph, Henry, Zurishaddai, Dorothy and Sarah. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 40 in 1749.-
