William Cookson

William was born in August 1689 in Hadley, Shropshire? and his baptism took place on September 17th, 1689 in Christ Church, Wellington, Shropshire.  William's father was William Cookson and his mother was Elizabeth Whitfield.  His paternal grandparents were John Cookson and Jane Pekah; his maternal grandparents were John Whitfield and Margaret Unknown. He had four brothers and six sisters, named William, John, John, Henry, Margaret, Elizabeth, Mary, Jane, Sarah and Ann.  He was the youngest of the eleven children.
