William Cookson

William was born in May 1671 and his baptism took place on May 27th, 1671.  William's father was William Cookson and his mother was Elizabeth Whitfield.  His paternal grandparents were John Cookson and Jane Pekah; his maternal grandparents were John Whitfield and Margaret Unknown. He had four brothers and six sisters, named John, John, Henry, William, Margaret, Elizabeth, Mary, Jane, Sarah and Ann.  He was the second oldest of the eleven children.
