Henry was born on December 4th, 1871 in Kew, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Henry's father was David Beath and his mother was Catherine Bowden. His paternal grandparents were James Beath and Christian Low; his maternal grandparents were William Henry Bowden and Caithrine Clarke. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Ernest James, David, Ethel Catherine, Constance Christian, Louisa Ermina (Mina), Olive Wilhelmina, Eudora Anne, Mabel Elisabeth (Mabs) and Frances Eugenie (Bobby). He was the fifth oldest of the ten children. He died at just 1 days old on December 5th, 1871 in Kew, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.-
