John Beveridge 
John was born on December 16th, 1732 in Fordel, Dalgetty, Fife, Scotland and his baptism took place on December 24th, 1732 in Dalgety, Fife, Scotland. John's father was John Beveridge and his mother was Grissel (Grisle) Simson (Symsone). His paternal grandparents were James Beveridge and Catharine Paton. He had four brothers and two sisters, named James, William, Alexander, George, Helen and Euphan. He was the oldest of the seven children.
