William Barrowman 
William was born about 1670 in Lasswade, Midlothian, Scotland. William's father was John Barrowman and his mother was Janet Gray. His maternal grandparents were Abraham (Abraham Gray The Elder) Gray and Elspet Huntar. He had four brothers and five sisters, named John, Abraham, James, Thomas, Janet, Isabell, Elizabeth, Margaret and Katherin. He was the fifth oldest of the ten children.-
