Polly was born on October 26th, 1833 in Pennsylvania, USA.1   Polly's father was Adam Slonecker and her mother was Nancy Bechtell (Slonecker).  Her paternal grandparents were John Schlonecker and Elizabeth Strickler (Schlonecker); her maternal grandparents were ? Bechtell and ? ? (Bechtell). She had six brothers and five sisters, named David, George, John, Eli, Lewis, Adam, Elizabeth, Mariah, Catherine, Amanda and Emma.  She was the second oldest of the twelve children.  She died at the age of 85 on February 19th, 1919 in Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, USA.1

Polly and George were married in a religious & civil ceremony on November 17th, 1855.1   They had three sons and a daughter, named Charles, Adam, Wesley and Anna.
