Adam's father was Adam Slonecker and his mother was Nancy Bechtell (Slonecker). His paternal grandparents were John Schlonecker and Elizabeth Strickler (Schlonecker); his maternal grandparents were ? Bechtell and ? ? (Bechtell). He had five brothers and six sisters, named David, George, John, Eli, Lewis, Elizabeth, Polly, Mariah, Catherine, Amanda and Emma. He was the youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 68 on January 1st, 1922 in Elkton, Md..¹
