Mary E Harper 
Mary was born in 1890 in Leamside, Co Durham.1 Mary's father was John Harper and her mother was Betsy Annie Emmerson. Her paternal grandparents were James Henry Harper and Elizabeth Haywood. She had four brothers and a sister, named John, Thomas, James, Alice and Sarah. She was the oldest of the six children.-
