James Harper

James was born in 1794 in Cakemore, Worcestershire and his christening took place on May 25th, 1794 at St Johns, Halesowen, Worcestershire.^1 2   James' father was Joseph Harper and his mother was Hannah Clift.  His paternal grandparents were Joseph Harper and Sarah Forest; his maternal grandparents were James Clift and Ann Smith. He had two brothers and a sister, named William, Edward and Ann.  He was the second oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 76 in 1870 in Oldbury, Staffordshire.³
