Samuel Clift

Samuel was born in 1744 in Cakemore, Worcestershire and his christening took place on March 26th, 1744 at St Johns, Halesowen, Worcestershire.¹   Samuel's father was James Clift and his mother was Dorothy Williams. He had two brothers named Thomas and James.  He was the youngest of the three children. He had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named William, Joseph, Josiah, Dorothy, Mary and Hannah.
