Josiah Clift

Josiah was born in 1766 in Cakemore, Worcestershire and his christening took place on November 2nd, 1766 at St Johns, Halesowen, Worcestershire.¹   Josiah's father was James Clift and his mother was Ann Smith. He had two brothers and three sisters, named William, Joseph, Dorothy, Mary and Hannah.  He was the youngest of the six children. He had three half-brothers named Thomas, James and Samuel.
