Mary E Butler

Mary was born in 1872 in Armley, Leeds, Yorkshire.¹ Mary's father was James Butler and her mother was Harriet Brooksbank. Her paternal grandparents were William Butler and Mary Arendall; her maternal grandparents were James Brooksbank and Caroline Roberts. She had two brothers and six sisters, named Mark, James, Caroline, Rose, Florence, Matilda, Nellie and Louie. She was the oldest of the nine children.
