Elizabeth was born in 1840 in Chacombe, Northants.  Elizabeth's father was Thomas CHINNER and her mother was Elizabeth WATTS. She had five brothers and three sisters, named John, Charles, Henry, Clement, James, Frances, Hannah and Charlotte.  She was the third oldest of the nine children.
