Charles was born in 1842 in Chacombe, Northants.¹   Charles' father was Thomas CHINNER and his mother was Elizabeth WATTS. He had four brothers and four sisters, named John, Henry, Clement, James, Frances, Elizabeth, Hannah and Charlotte.  He was the fifth oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 77 in 1919 in Banbury, Oxford.¹
