Eduard was born on September 10th, 1827.  Eduard's father was Ferdinandus Pieters and his mother was Isabelle Duyvejonck.  His paternal grandparents were Joannes Pieters and Livina Therese Mestdagh; his maternal grandparents were Joannes Duyvejonck and Brigitta Blanckaert. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Leo, Carel, Ivo, Frederic, levenloos, Joannes, Amelia and Levenloos.  He was the sixth oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 7 on October 14th, 1834.
