Vera Whitling

Vera was born in June 1921 in Leyburn, North Yorkshire.¹ Vera's father was Robert Whitling and her mother was Alice Aitchison. Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Whitling and Elizabeth Graham. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Andrew, Robert, Edna and Heather. She was the third oldest of the five children.
