Edna Whitling 
Edna was born in September 1919 in Leyburn, North Yorkshire.1 Edna's father was Robert Whitling and her mother was Alice Aitchison. Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Whitling and Elizabeth Graham. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Andrew, Robert, Vera and Heather. She was the second oldest of the five children.-
