Robert Whitling 
Robert was born in June 1922 in Leyburn, North Yorkshire.1 Robert's father was Robert Whitling and his mother was Alice Aitchison. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Whitling and Elizabeth Graham. He had a brother and three sisters, named Andrew, Edna, Vera and Heather. He was the second youngest of the five children.-
