Joseph Petrie 
Joseph was born on October 13th, 1782 in
Murroes, Angus, Scotland. Joseph's father was
Henry Petrie and his mother was
Margaret Elder. He had three brothers and six sisters, named
Alexander,
James,
Henry,
Isobel,
Elspeth,
Mary,
Christian,
Helen and
Agnes. He was the youngest of the ten children.
