Alexander Petrie

Alexander was born on August 20th, 1761 in Brighty, Murroes, Angus, Scotland.  Alexander's father was Henry Petrie and his mother was Margaret Elder. He had three brothers and six sisters, named James, Henry, Joseph, Isobel, Elspeth, Mary, Christian, Helen and Agnes.  He was the oldest of the ten children.
