Elspeth Petrie

Elspeth was born on June 22nd, 1768 in Murroes, Angus, Scotland.  Elspeth's father was Henry Petrie and her mother was Margaret Elder. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Alexander, James, Henry, Joseph, Isobel, Mary, Christian, Helen and Agnes.  She was the fourth oldest of the ten children.
