Richard Martin Roberts 
Richard Martin was born on February 25th, 1856 in NC. Richard Martin's father was Robert J. Roberts and his mother was Julia A. Webster. His paternal grandparents were Martin Roberts and Elizabeth Gilliland. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Robert L., Lawrence E. 'Tosh', Thomas, John W., Elizabeth, Margaret L., Cora A. and Mary E.. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 48 on September 5th, 1904 in Rockingham Co, NC. He was buried in Sardis Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Madison, Rockingham Co, NC.General Notes
