James A. Roberts 
James A. was born in June 1863 in Rockingham Co, NC.1 James A.'s father was Nebuchanezer Roberts and his mother was Mary A. Floyd. His paternal grandparents were James Roberts and Susannah Thomas. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named William Henry, Thomas Jefferson, Frances M., John Rufus, Joseph Walker, Charles S., Martin Elkaine, Susan M., Bertha Parsada and Lillie Belle. He was the sixth oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 17 in 1880.1 General Notes
