John Henry was born on February 11th, 1869 in Savoy, Fannin Co, Texas, USA. John Henry's father was William Jackson Lowe and his mother was Martha E Benton. His paternal grandparents were William Jacob Lowe and Sarah L Akin. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Samuel Robert, James Lee, Sarah Narcissa, Ida Cornelia, Willie D, Tigilia Grace, Jessie Lela, Catherine A and Frankie Benton. He was the second oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 96 on June 22nd, 1965 in La Mesa, Dawson Co, Texas, USA.-
