James Akin 
James was born in 1755 in Virginia.1 James' father was Andrew Akin and his mother was Margaret (Peggy) Bass. He had two brothers and a sister, named Sam, Moses and Susan. He was the oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 67 on January 15th, 1822 in Green County, Kentucky.1 General Notes

LDS files indicate marriage was in 1789; however, this was after the date of the birth of all three children, so not likely to be correct
