Benjamin Logan Hoke 
Benjamin Logan was born on October 21st, 1873 in Shelby, Cleveland Co, NC and his baptism took place in Census 1880. Benjamin Logan's father was Peter Philo Hoke and his mother was Faithy Ann Goforth. His maternal grandparents were William Clayton Goforth and Jane Christina Houser. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Thomas William, Robert C., Peter W., Sarah Jane, Clara J., Cora Harriett and Caroline B. 'Callie'. He was the youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 77 on July 28th, 1951 in Cherokee Co, SC. He was buried in Draytonville Baptist Church Cemetery, Blacksburg, Cherokee Co, SC.General Notes
