Honor Johnson was born on August 9th, 1895 in Rockingham Co, NC.1 Honor Johnson's father was Emilous Jackson Grogan and his mother was Elizabeth Virginia Smith. His paternal grandparents were Constant T. Grogan and Frances Elizabeth Price. He had five brothers and nine sisters, named Constine Emilous, Shular Gray, James Robert, Buford Bennett, Cecil Herman, Hester, Posie Jackson, Josie Beulah, Dorthea, Nora Elizabeth, Rosie Lee, Mollie Mae, Kathleen and Loula Hazel. He died at the age of 71 on July 23rd, 1967 in Madison, Rockingham Co, NC. He was buried on July 25th, 1967 in Ayersville Baptist Church Cemetery, Rockingham Co, NC.General Notes
