Joseph William Foster 
Joseph William was born on September 26th, 1908 in Davie, North Carolina.1 Joseph William's father was Joseph Henry Foster and his mother was Sallie Odell Miller. His paternal grandparents were Weldon " William" Goode Foster and Zilphia "Silpha" Jarvis. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Joseph W, Arland M, Cleland Miller, Cleland Miller, Alvin W, Alvin, Martha Evelyn, Evelina, Mary Walton, Mary W. and Nina May. He was the third oldest of the twelve children. He had two half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Herman, John Kerr, Nola Shell, Ila Ida, Charlotte B., Nannie A, Maggie L and Clara. He died at the age of 76 on January 22nd, 1985 in Mocksville, Davie, North Carolina.2 -
