Clara Foster 
Clara was born in August 1889 in North Carolina.1 Clara's father was Joseph Henry Foster and her mother was Louise Angelica Smith. Her paternal grandparents were Weldon " William" Goode Foster and Zilphia "Silpha" Jarvis. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Herman, John Kerr, Nola Shell, Ila Ida, Charlotte B., Nannie A and Maggie L. She was the second youngest of the eight children. She had seven half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Joseph William, Joseph W, Arland M, Cleland Miller, Cleland Miller, Alvin W, Alvin, Martha Evelyn, Evelina, Mary Walton, Mary W. and Nina May. She died at the age of 89 in 1978.-
