Alvin W Foster

Alvin W was born on December 9th, 1914 in North Carolina.¹ Alvin W's father was Joseph Henry Foster and his mother was Sallie Odell Miller. His paternal grandparents were Weldon " William" Goode Foster and Zilphia "Silpha" Jarvis. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Joseph William, Joseph W, Arland M, Cleland Miller, Cleland Miller, Alvin, Martha Evelyn, Evelina, Mary Walton, Mary W. and Nina May. He was the fifth youngest of the twelve children. He had two half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Herman, John Kerr, Nola Shell, Ila Ida, Charlotte B., Nannie A, Maggie L and Clara. He died at the age of 9 on September 12th, 1924 in Davie, North Carolina.¹
