William (Bill) Collin Akin 
William, known as Bill, was born in 1790.1 Bill's father was James Akin and his mother was Mary Murphy. His paternal grandparents were Andrew Akin and Margaret (Peggy) Bass; his maternal grandparents were Miles Murphy and Amey Norman. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Joseph, Thomas, John, James, Elder, Nancy, Mary, Deborah, Martha, Susannah and Sarah. He was the sixth youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 62 in 1852 in Grayson Co, Texas, USA.-
