Martha Akin 
Martha was born in 1800.1 Martha's father was James Akin and her mother was Mary Murphy. Her paternal grandparents were Andrew Akin and Margaret (Peggy) Bass; her maternal grandparents were Miles Murphy and Amey Norman. She had six brothers and five sisters, named Joseph, Thomas, John, James, Bill, Elder, Nancy, Mary, Deborah, Susannah and Sarah. She was the fourth youngest of the twelve children.-
