Robert Jackson Akin 
Robert Jackson was born on May 13th, 1862 in Redwater, Bowie Co, Texas, USA. Robert Jackson's father was Collin McKinney Akin and his mother was Lucinda Frances Pinkerton. His paternal grandparents were William (Bill) Collin Akin and Rebecca (Becky) McKinney. He had four brothers and four sisters, named James Franklin, Collin McKinney, William C, Richard, Mattie, Rebecca Elizabeth, Emma and Ellie. He was the fourth youngest of the nine children. He had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named David, William, John Watson, Martha Jane, Mary Jane and Nancy Ann. He died at the age of 85 on July 4th, 1947 in Texarkana, Bowie Co, Texas, USA. He was buried in Antioch Cemetery, Hooks, Bowie Co, Texas, USA; now on grounds of Lone Star Ammunition Plant.-
