Ouida Mae Mathias 
Ouida Mae was born on June 3rd, 1903 in Toombs Co., Georgia.1 Ouida Mae's father was Homer Eugene Mathias and her mother was Margaret Catherine Jefferson. Her paternal grandparents were William Eugene Mathias and Mary S. Carlile; her maternal grandparents were Joseph Saul Jefferson and Frances Bailey. She had three brothers and three sisters, named William Jefferson, Hubert, Robert (nmi), L.E., Lois B. and Margaret Helen. She was the oldest of the seven children. She died in Scranton, (Florance Co.), South Carolina.1 General Notes
She was a short woman with black hair. In the 1920's before hermarriage, she taught school in the rural community of High Hill, nearScranton, South Carolina.
