Mrs. Elea Mathias Waites (72), a native Georgian, passed away at herhome Sunday evening after a long confinement.  Sister Waites wasactive in the Lord's work and in the business world, having retired asas teller in a local bank in 1973.  She was a member of the West Endchurch, and a charter member of Seminole Avenue and later Druid Hillschurch.  She is survived by her husband, Harry L. Waites; one son, Wm.L.; grandchildren, Mrs. Lea Anne Hammond, Mat, Dob, Ben and EmilyWaites; great-grandchildren, Ben and Laura Hammond, all of Atlanta;sisters, Mrs. Cliff Braddy, Vidalia; Mrs. Ouida McKnight, Lake City,S.C.; Mrs. Albert Bellingraph, Stone Mountain; brothers, HubertMathias, Vidalia; W.J. Mathias, Columbia, S.C.; Robt. Mathias, SanDiego, CA.  Funeeral services were conducted by Pat Graham atSpringhill on Tuesday, January 20, with interment at WestviewCemetery.
