Zella May was born on December 21st, 1879 in Alleppo Twp., (Greene Co.), PA. Zella May's father was Robert Filby and her mother was Mary Evaline Strope. Her paternal grandparents were William Filbe and Catherine Speck; her maternal grandparents were Daniel Strope and Mary A. Mitchell. She had three brothers and two sisters, named William, Winfield Lawrence, George, Alice and Clara Foster. She died at the age of 81 on June 2nd, 1961 in Washington, (Washington Co.), Pennsylvania.-
