William Filby 
William was born about 1874 in Pennsylvania. William's father was Robert Filby and his mother was Mary Evaline Strope. His paternal grandparents were William Filbe and Catherine Speck; his maternal grandparents were Daniel Strope and Mary A. Mitchell. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Winfield Lawrence, George, Alice, Zella May and Clara Foster.-
