William Semore York

William Semore was born on April 15th, 1823.¹   William Semore's father was Jeremiah York and his mother was Margaret Donaldson.  His paternal grandparents were Semore York and Miriam Beck. He had four brothers and three sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Joseph, John, Martin Van Buren, Cicero, Adaline, Margaret, Caroline and Elisha Newton.  He was the second oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 55 on February 12th, 1879.  He was buried in Persimmon Dist., Rabun Co., GA.^1 1
