Martin Van Buren York

Martin Van Buren was born on April 11th, 1839 in Rabun Co., GA.¹   Martin Van Buren's father was Jeremiah York and his mother was Margaret Donaldson.  His paternal grandparents were Semore York and Miriam Beck. He had four brothers and three sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Joseph, William Semore, John, Cicero, Adaline, Margaret, Caroline and Elisha Newton.  He was the third youngest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 77 on November 17th, 1916.  He was buried in Persimmon Dist., Rabun Co., GA.^1 1
