Lafayette Welty

Lafayette was born on October 22nd, 1842.¹   Lafayette's father was John C Welty and his mother was Elizabeth Hauff. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Elbert, John, Joseph S, Casper, Elizabeth, Margaret and Suzannah.  He was the third oldest of the eight children. He had five half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Alexander Houston, Ason, Martin DeShazo, George Washington, William Albert, Sarah Caroline (Sallie), Ida May Minerva and Mary Hester Belzora.  He died at the age of 23 on August 19th, 1866.¹
