Joseph S Welty

Joseph S was born on May 14th, 1849 in MS.¹   Joseph S' father was John C Welty and his mother was Elizabeth Hauff. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Lafayette, Elbert, John, Casper, Elizabeth, Margaret and Suzannah.  He was the third youngest of the eight children. He had five half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Alexander Houston, Ason, Martin DeShazo, George Washington, William Albert, Sarah Caroline (Sallie), Ida May Minerva and Mary Hester Belzora.  He died at the age of 84 on December 18th, 1933 in Blanket, Brown County, TX.  He was buried in Blanket Cemetery.^1 1
