William J. Townsend 
William J. was born about 1882.1 William J.'s father was Thomas Ray Townsend and his mother was Nancy L. Smith. His paternal grandparents were Morris Townsend and Sarah Cheairs. He had four brothers and a sister, named George Morris, Thomas Oscar, Earl R., Ernest Ray and Eva I.. He was the third oldest of the six children.1 -
