Morris Townsend

Morris was born on January 29th, 1824 in GA.¹   Morris' father was Thomas Roderick Townsend and his mother was Nancy Permelia Dean.  His paternal grandfather was Thomas Townsend; his maternal grandparents were Jesse Dean and Mary Ann Unknown. He had three brothers and three sisters, named William Spencer, Thomas Gideon, Light Stapleton, Elizabeth B., Clementine and Carpalona Fairy.  He was the second oldest of the seven children. He had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named Allen Dean, Ann Pamelia, Sophronia and Florida.  He died at the age of 57 on October 9th, 1881 in Crockett, Houston Co., TX.  He was buried in October 1881 in Houston Co., TX.^1 1
