John Cravens Snapp

John Cravens was born on July 30th, 1794 in Fauquier Co, Va.¹ John Cravens' father was Joseph Snapp and his mother was Margaret Cravens. His paternal grandparents were John Snapp and Anna Maria Wendell; his maternal grandparents were John Cravens and Margaret Hiett. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Robert, William Cravens, Joseph, James Cravens, Cyrus, Rhoda, Mary, Mariah, Diana Allen and Cynthia Jane. He was the oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 85 on August 31st, 1879 in Salem, Hampshire Co, WVa.¹
