James Cravens Snapp

James Cravens was born on February 10th, 1813.¹ James Cravens' father was Joseph Snapp and his mother was Margaret Cravens. His paternal grandparents were John Snapp and Anna Maria Wendell; his maternal grandparents were John Cravens and Margaret Hiett. He had five brothers and five sisters, named John Cravens, Robert, William Cravens, Joseph, Cyrus, Rhoda, Mary, Mariah, Diana Allen and Cynthia Jane. He was the third youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 73 on May 11th, 1886 in Salem, Hampshire, Va.¹
