William Sherman 
William was born on April 19th, 1672 in Marshfield, Plymouth, Massachusetts.1 William's father was William Sherman and his mother was Desire Doty. His paternal grandparents were William Sherman and Prudence Hill; his maternal grandparents were Edward Doty and Faith Clarke. He had a brother and four sisters, named Ebenezer, Patience, Experience, Elizabeth and Hannah. He had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named John, Israel, Ichabod, Thomas and Desire. He died in Marshfield, Plymouth, Massachusetts.1 General Notes

On June 12, 1729, William Sherman of Marshfield, yeoman, deeded land o son and daughte John and Thankful Poland of Marshfield.
The will of William Sherman dated November 30, 1739, proved April 7, 1740, name his two grandchildren John and Mary, "children of my daughter Thankful Polden, deceased"; son-in-law Adam Hall and his wife Sarah; daughters Mary and Abigail Sherman.
On April 19 1754, Adam hall and wife Sarah signed anagreement regarding land they had received from their father William Sherman, late of Marshfield, deceased.
In January 1782, widow Mary Phillips of Marshfield attached the property that the twin sisters Mary and Abigail Sherman, spinsters, had received from their father.
