James Munwarren Sherman 
James Munwarren was born on May 21st, 1842 in Butler, Wayne County, New York. James Munwarren's father was Levi Orrin Sherman and his mother was Ann Eliza Palmer. His paternal grandparents were John Serman and Cynthia Cornell; his maternal grandparents were William Henry Palmer and Mary Hughson. He had four brothers and three sisters, named William P., Daniel Levi, Benjamin, Milan, Mary Elizabeth, Cynthia and Nancy. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died after 1881 in Pauline, Nebraska. He was buried in Blue Valley Cemetary, Ayr, Nebraska.-
