Joseph Rountree

Joseph was born in 1809.¹ Joseph's father was Andrew Rountree and his mother was Mary Robertson. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Rountree and Evy Sturgis. He had nine brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, David, William, Charles, Andrew Jones, John Jackson, Cicero, Andrew Marion, George Washington, Elizabeth, Sarah, Jane, Mary and Emily. He was the seventh oldest of the fifteen children.¹
