George Washington Rountree

George Washington was born in 1825.¹ George Washington's father was Andrew Rountree and his mother was Mary Robertson. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Rountree and Evy Sturgis. He had nine brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, David, William, Joseph, Charles, Andrew Jones, John Jackson, Cicero, Andrew Marion, Elizabeth, Sarah, Jane, Mary and Emily. He was the youngest of the fifteen children.¹
